The Folsom Force is a competitive AAU basketball club that promotes the sport of basketball in the Folsom area. Our goal is to provide quality instruction with an emphasis on developing fundamental skills while building highly competitive teams at each grade level. We stress and teach the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, character, academics, and commitment in the hope that each player will develop lifelong skills that better prepare them for the future on and off the court. Our vision is to create a club environment that generates enthusiastic support from all players, teams, and families within the organization as well as the local community.
Our club will have teams for boys for the 2011-2012 season. All new players that are interested in playing on a Folsom Force team must reside in Folsom. Our goal is to have teams for boys from 6th grade through 8th grade. The actual number of teams will be determined by the abilities of the players to form teams that are competitive in AAU basketball.
All Folsom Force teams are formed through a tryout. The tryouts will held in October at a location in Folsom. All players are expected to attend the entire tryout for their grade level. The tryout details will be posted to this web site by the end of September.
The length of the season can vary by team. The season length for most teams will be from November/December through March/April. During the season, teams will have two 90 minute practices per week, play in an competitive league and compete in an AAU tournament about every 2 weeks starting in January. Many teams will travel to one tournament out of the local area (Chico, Reno or Bay Area) during the season.
